Well they say I should approach you with caution But not to let you be aware of my fear Never know what you'll find Don't understand your kind 'round here Watching your moves They look so radical Hearing your words They sound fanatical Something inside reveals you're magical How can I get enough You're a strange animal That's what I know But you're a strange animal I've got to follow They've been trying to stick a line in your system Analyzing the defenses you hold Trying to open wide Hoping to step inside your soul But everything here is unfamiliar Nothing they've seen remotely similar How can it be you're so peculiar How can I get enough O Ominous Spiritus!

about

The Hitmaker and Gowan join forces to bring you a remix of Gowan's massive hit "(You're A) Strange Animal"--a smash in Canada in the 80s, now updated with new atmospheres and grooves.
In addition to the original tracks featuring Tony Levin and Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel's rhythm section), this remix brings additional drums tracks from Todd Sucherman (of Styx and Brian Wilson), as well as The Hitmaker\'s new production and instrumentation.
Somewhere between epic rock and house, this monster Hit has been reinvented for the modern world. How can you get enough?

Background: The Hitmaker is a producer and remixer who has worked with Journey, REO Speedwagon, Styx, and many others. His previous release, "Don't Stop Believin' (featuring Deen Castronovo)" was a viral hit.

Lawrence Gowan is a tremendous singer and keyboardist who has been a member of Styx for the past ten years, after a very successful solo career, which included his classic "A Criminal Mind" being covered in 2005 by Canadian hip-hop artist Maestro.
