This is a special song to me. Most of it came to me in a flash, and I just wrote it down. I remember being in the subway in Chicago, and in my head I heard Rod Stewart's voice singing, "Been going through some changes... It's been a long, long time..."
I hope we captured in this recording some of the magic I felt when this one came to me.

A different version of this song appeared on the Jordan album Epiphany, under its original title, "That Which I Should Have Done I Did Not Do (The Door)"--that title was taken from a painting by Ivan Albright (the painting is sort of creepy and affecting: www.artic.edu/artworks/83905/that-which-i-should-have-done-i-did-not-do-the-door).

Dedicated to The Warden, who has given me so much music, magic, love, and good vibes over these many years.
